Flight Lesson 25
Night Cross-Country - Dual
Objective:
The student will gain the additional required night experience along with
adding to his/her cross-country expertise. Minimum 100nm total distance.
1. Plotting course.
2. Preparation of flight log.
3. Flight plan.
4. Weather briefing.
5. Night preflight inspection.
6. Cross-country.
7. Emergency situations and landing.
8. ASR approach (instructor simulated if not available).
Note: Verify student has completed 10 full-stop landings at night and endorse student logbook for night solo cross-country if satisfactory.
Completion Standards:
Altitude +/-200 feet, Heading +/- 10 degrees, Airspeed +/-10 knots, demonstrate competency to navigate at night.
