Flight Lesson 23
First Cross Country - Solo
Objective:
The student will gain confidence in his/her navigation abilities using a route
similar to his/her dual cross-country with at least one landing 50nm from
departure.
1. Preparation of flight course.
2. Preparation of flight log.
3. Perparation of flight plan.
4. Weather briefing.
5. Cross-country flight (student graded).
Note: Flight logs will be turned in to the instructor
and instructor must endorse logbook for second solo cross-country.
Completion Standards:
Altitude +/-200 feet, Heading +/- 10 degrees, checkpoint ETAs +/-2 minutes, maintain course within on mile.
