Flight Lesson 18
Review of Specialty Takeoffs and Landings at Unfamiliar Airports -
Dual
Objective:
The student will gain more proficiency in specialty takeoffs and landings
and become confident in operating at satellite airports.
1. Crosswind takeoffs.
2. Crosswind landings.
3. Forward slips to landing.
4. Short-field takeoffs.
5. Short-field landings.
6. Soft-field takeoffs.
7. Soft-field landings.
8. Introduction to approved short, sod field (if available).
Note: Upon Completion endorse student logbook for repeated operations at Airports within 25nm.
Completion Standards:
Airspeed +/-3 knots, center line between main gear, landing not short of point and within 200 feet beyond.
* If the training has been at an uncontrolled field, this should be done at an airport with an operating control tower, or vice versa.
